The flying contractor for Woodminster's Peter Pan is Flying By Foy, a company founded in 1950 by Peter Foy after he developed a revolutionary stage flying system for the original Broadway production of “Peter Pan." Flying By Foy provides both the equipment and the instruction.

Below, flying instructor Brad Allen gives Susan Tilson some pointers: "Now, think a happy thought...."

Above and below, Grant Lowenstein (playing John) really likes flying.

Below, Wendy & Michael practice not crashing into each other.

In these photos, actors from Peter Pan have their first flying lesson, on July 1. Below, Susan Tilson (playing Peter) takes her first flight while Deanna Ott (Wendy), Grant Lowenstein (John), Anthony Ferguson (Michael), and Judy Boraas (Assistant Stage Manager) look on.

It can be a strange feeling at first....

... but then you get the hang of it. (Above and below are Anthony Ferguson, playing Michael.)

Above and below, Deanna Ott (playing Wendy) is a natural flyer.
