Rehearsals start in June, performances in July

Rehearsals start in July, performances in August

Rehearsals in August, performances Aug & September

Singers and dancers, mark your calendars now!  Auditions for our 2018 shows will be March 24 and 25, onstage at Woodminster Amphitheater.  Here’s the schedule:

Saturday 3-24, 10 am Children ages 10-14, will sing and dance

Saturday 3-24, 12-4 pm Adult singers

Sunday 3-25, 10 am Adult dancers

Sunday, 3-25, 12-4 pm Adult singers

Morning auditions start promptly at 10 sharp for everyone.  Children may bring sheet music (in the key you will sing it) for a song, not a requirement.  Either way, you will be asked to sing "Do Re Mi" from The Sound of Music so we can determine your range and ability to match a note with an accompanist.

Adult singing auditions in the afternoon are first-come, first-served.  Please come either day, not both.  Please have two contrasting songs, and music in the key you will sing it.  Accompanist provided.

No appointments necessary. We are seeking multicultural casts for all three shows, with a special focus on actors of Dominican Republic, Puerto Rican, and Central and South American heritage for In The Heights. Children’s roles are in Joseph.

No video auditions, please -- we need to hear you sing outdoors in the large amphitheater.  Actors who are cast will need their own local housing and transportation.

Please note that Sunday, March 25, is the Oakland Running Festival, and to avoid that route, morning auditioners will need to go up Redwood Road and down Skyline to get to Joaquin Miller Road and the park.

AEA MEMBERS may come to general call and show your card for priority, or come to Equity-only auditions, Monday, March 19, in the Family Room at Montclair Presbyterian Church, 5701 Thornhill Dr.  Please prepare two contrasting songs and bring the music in the key you will sing it.  Accompanist provided.  March 19 AEA auditions are by appointment.  Please make an appointment AFTER MARCH 1 by calling or emailing Harriet at 510-339-0241, harriet@woodminster.com.
