Please get to the Joaquin Miller Community Center EARLY for dance auditions. We want everyone to allocate plenty of time to register, warm up and learn the choreography.

 

Please bring your headshot and resume and be prepared with ballet or jazz shoes and tap shoes for the dance audition.

 

No appointments necessary.

We will have 8 performing contracts for members of Actors Equity and we do offer Equity Candidacy Points. There is a stipend for performers.

 

No video submissions please.

 

Please note: We need well trained dancers for An American in Paris and On Your Feet!. Strong male and female ballet trained dancers for American in Paris, especially en pointe and tap. We are looking for pop singers and Latin dancers to audition for On Your Feet!. Tap dancers needed for Something Rotten.

 

We welcome and encourage people from all ethnic backgrounds to audition and are committed to non-traditional casting.

    Music and Lyrics by Gloria and Emilio Estefan and Book by Craig Lucas. Directed by Joel Schlader, Choreographed by Christina Lazo, and Music Direction by Nicolas Perez. We are seeking actors of Latino heritage with a strong pop voice and a background in Latin dancing for On Your Feet!.

    Opening: 8/7/20

    Closing: 8/16/20

Directed by Joel Schlader, Choreographed by Sarah Pon and Blake Hennessy-York, and Music Direction by Mark Dietrich. We are seeking good character actors strong in singing and moving and also strong musical theater and tap dancers for Something Rotten.

  • Audition workshop 2020

    Two Audition Workshops will be offered in February on Saturday, February 1st from 1pm-4pm and Saturday, February 15th from 1pm-4pm at the  Montclair Pres Church in the Choir Room to the left of the Family Room.  A registration fee of $25.00 will be required to attend.  This is a terrific opportunity. You will learn what music to choose for your voice, how to prepare the music for an accompanist, how to dress and conduct yourself at an audition.  Jenny Matteucci and Daniel Lockert will conduct the workshops and our staff will be on hand to contribute their thoughts. Please bring 32 bars from an audition song. Forms can be mailed or emailed. If you are emailing your form, please include your address and zip code. If you are attending the February 1st workshop, please turn your form in by January 30th, and if you are attending the February 15th workshop, please turn your form in by February 13th. Thank you!
